Community Service

In order to carry out one of the obligations in the tridharma of higher education, the Agrotechnology and Bioproduct Technology Research Group organizes various community service (PM) activities involving lecturers and students from various study programs. PM activities are spread across various locations in Indonesia, ranging from the West Java region to areas outside the island of Java. Through these activities, lecturers and students have the opportunity to transfer the knowledge and technology of utilizing biological resources - most of which are the results of research - to communities in need. In addition, PM activities always prioritize the empowerment of local communities so that it is expected to improve welfare in the economic aspect. By utilizing various funding sources, both from the government and the private sector, PM activities are expected to increase the relevance of the Agrotechnology and Bioproduct Technology Research Group among the people of Indonesia in general and West Java in particular.

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan beberapa kelompok tani hortikultura yang ada di seputar kawasan Bukit Sandy, Kecamatan Cimenyan, Kabupaten Bandung. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan diseminasi hasil pengamatan percobaan di Bukit Sandy yang berfokus pada interaksi lebah tanpa sengat Tetragonula biroi dengan tanaman hortikultura cabai rawit serta metode pascapanen yang baik untuk tanaman hortikultura, terutama komoditas cabai.

Aplikasi Pompa Gelembung Mikro (Microbubble) Guna Tingkatkan Hasil Panen Kelompok Tani Hidroponik

Kegiatan ini merupakan diseminasi hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui demonstrasi dari pemasangan pompa gelembung mikro (microbubble) di plot hidroponik pada kelompok tani hidroponik di sekitar area kampus ITB Jatinangor. Dr. Aep menjelaskan manfaat dari aplikasi pompa microbubble yang dapat memperbaiki sistem aerasi, kondisi fisik media tumbuh dan juga penyerapan nutrisi pada tanaman kangkung yang dibudidayakan secara hidroponik.
